The Saint Lucia National Trust with support from the GEF Small Grants Programme collaborated with the Ministry of Sustainable Development, Energy, Science and Technology, to host Civil Society Organisations (CSO) Consultations on 6th and 7th August and 9th October 2014. One of the outputs of both consultations was the need to establish a CSO Coalition as a means of sustaining CSO involvement and partnerships for sustainable development in Saint Lucia. Consequently, at the latter consultation a committee was formed to oversee the formation of a CSO Coalition for Sustainable Development in Saint Lucia. The committee met several times thereafter and deliberated on a number of pertinent matters including the preparation of Operational Principles and a Charter for this coalition.

To this end, Civil Society Organisations were invited to attend a half-day consultation to review and approve the Operational Principles and Charter which were drafted for the CSO Coalition for Sustainable Development in Saint Lucia. The consultation was held on 26th May 2015 from 9:00 a.m. in Room at the Coco Palm Hotel, Rodney Bay, Gros Islet.
